When I decided that I wanted to grow my business, the best decision I made was picking the lovely Laura Agar Wilson to be my coach.

Her blog Wholeheartedly Healthy is a wonderful resource for healthy holistic living. She has kindly let me write a guest post on her blog all about my experience with PCOS with some natural health tips!

For the full article check out Laura’s blog here.

My top five tips for managing PCOS are:

1. Spearmint Tea

If you suffer from hirturism (excess hair) try drinking two cups of spearmint tea a day. It has properties which can reduce the effects that excess levels of testosterone create.

2. Drink bottled water

Not great for the environment but much better for your hormonal health. Tap water contains lots of oestrogen due to women on the pill weeing it out. Hormones are very small so don’t get filtered out during the filtration process.

3. Natural fats

Make sure you include lots of natural fats in your diet and avoid low fat products. Fats are essential for good hormone health.

4. Avoid soya products

Soya contains phyto-oestrogens which act like oestrogen in the body and upset the delicate hormonal balance.

5. Take a chromium supplement

Chromium is great as stabilising glucose levels in the blood, which can cause a lot of PCOS symptoms.
